Phoenix Park is a historic landscape of international importance and one of the largest designed landscaped parks in any European city. It was originally established as a Royal deer park in the 17th century. The park is perfect for walks and there are a number of sights to see on your visit. The universal access playground located west of the Victorian Walled Garden at the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre and offers an imaginatively themed design with bright and attractive play units (recommended for over 4s). There are train rides around the park and there are a number of places to eat and have a relaxing drink including the Phoenix Cafe, the Phoenix Park Tea Rooms. You will also find ice cream kiosks in the park during the summer.
