The National Wax Museum is one of Dublin’s top family attractions. The museum is an exciting interactive attraction located on Foster Place, just off Dame Street, in the Temple Bar district. Visitors can enjoy a journey through Irish history, an enchanting children’s zone of discovery, Ireland’s only dedicated tribute to our top scientific inventors, a Green screen video room, a recording studio and life-like wax work characters. The Children’s fantasy world area of the museum is focused entirely on kids imagination and their innate curiosity, with plenty of colour, cartoon wax figures and pillars painted like cake & sweets. There is also a new puppet theatre. The Wax Works Cafe is located on the ground floor which sells a selection of coffees, cakes, sweets, soft drinks and ice cream. Children under 5 years old are free of charge however, during busy periods the museum is difficult to manoeuvre around with a stroller and a baby carrier is recommended.
