Although Puerto Rico does not stand out as being the nicest town in the Canary islands (it has a great deal of nightlife and is not entirely picturesque), there are plenty of family friendly beaches nearby. Puerto Mogan is a short drive away and is a lovely quiet fishing village with a small beach.
