The Lopesan Baobab Resort is a luxurious 5 star resort set in tropical gardens with African-style decór throughout. The hotel is set back from the beach in Maspalomas (about 600 metres) but has some excellent facilities and is in close proximity to Cordillo supermarket which has all your baby and toddler essentials including swim nappies. There is also a pharmacy close to the hotel and a number of restaurants and tapas bars. It is just 10 minutes’ walk from Maspalomas lighthouse and the seafront path which is crammed with restaurants, shops and café bars. Playa de Melanores lies 1,8 km from the hotel and there is a lovely walk to this beach along the waterfront.

The hotel features a large outdoor swimming pool and is 600 m from Maspalomas Beach. Rooms at the Lopesan are elegant and spacious. All feature air conditioning and a balcony. The hotel offers baby packs if required (for an extra fee). These include high chairs, strollers, sterilizers and other essentials. The Baobab’s Pili Pili Restaurant specialises in grilled meats and seafood, while the Akara offers African cuisine. There are a number of buffet restaurants on site, as well as 2 poolside bars and a coffee shop.

The Lopesan also has a playground, water playground, children’s club and a babysitting service.  There is also a kids club available to kids ages 4 to 12. Younger children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Panchi, a giant shark is the hotels mascot and kids love him. He comes out for a stroll at breakfast and dinner. There is also a kids disco at 1pm and 8pm each day which toddlers love! The disco is hosted by different characters each day and Panchi comes out at the end much to the kids delight. There is also a bouncy castle set up each day and the whole resort is stroller accessible.
