The Lakeside Hotel & Leisure Centre is set in a stunning location on the banks of the River Shannon. The hotel, with its restaurant and bar, overlooks the linked towns of Ballina and Killaloe. Well-known sights in the town include the 13-arch bridge and 13th-century cathedral. The town also offers access to the Shannon Waterway. The leisure centre has a swimming pool, a hot tub and a 120-foot water slide. There is also a gym, sauna, steam room, aerobics studio and a supervised creche for babies aged 7 weeks onwards, which is open from 9.15 am until 5.50 pm (the creche closes for an hour at lunch).
