Fitzgeralds Park

Fitzgerald’s Park is  on the river lee and is about a 10 - 15 minute walk from the city centre.

The park was recently revamped and is now a fantastic place for a family day out. During the summer there are loads of events organised (usually on Sundays) with music and food stalls and toddlers can run around safely. There is also a cafe in the park where you can buy healthy snacks, sandwiches and cakes. The park also has a number of interesting, futuristic stainless steel sculptures and Gavin’s Pod provides spectacular views up and down the river. A fantastic new playground is currently being constructed and is due to open in August.
