Camping in Lake Garda when travelling with a baby or toddler

Camping is a popular choice for families visiting Lake Garda. There are a number of campsites which offer toddler friendly amenities and accommodation.

Bella Italia (Eurocamp)

Bella Italia campsite offers natural spaces for the kids to play and plenty of room to get fresh air and to run around. It is close to the town of Peschiera del Garda (2km away) and is a toddler’s paradise! There are plenty of play areas and the complex has five pools with children’s areas. Toddlers will love the water features such as waterslides and mushroom fountain. The surrounding area is furnished with beach umbrellas and sunloungers for you to relax on.

Accommodation includes mobile homes, tents, mountain lodges, tree houses, lodges and bungalows. Eurocamp offers a huge range of baby & toddler equipment all of which are free of charge. This is perfect for parents travelling with toddlers. The following essentials are all pre-bookable and subject to availability so early booking is advised; travel cots, highchairs, baby baths, potties, baby changing mats, bed rails and safety gates. Safety gates come as standard in all mobile homes so please ask your courier about it on arrival.

Altomincio

Altomincio is another Eurocamp park and offers much the same facilities as Bella Italia. This park is located 7 km away from Lake Garda and its nearest town is Salionze which is 1 km away. Verona is only 24 km away and this is another great option for a day out. There are three pools, including a lagoon and a kids’ pool complete with spongy surfaces. You’ll also find a cinema, sports and playing fields, crazy golf, children’s disco, play area and lots more, all organised by the parc’s very own ‘animateur’. The park also has a great pizzeria and its own Gelateria.
