You will be able to find everything you could possibly need for your child in Dublin including formula, food, nappies and clothing.
There are plenty of large supermarkets and department stores in the larger towns where you will be able to buy everything you need for your baby or toddler in both the city and county. popular brands of powdered formula include Aptamil, SMA, Hipp Organic and Cow and Gate. Larger supermarkets and pharmacies will sell premade formula and hungry milk. All shops will sell fresh cows milk and dairy products un Ireland are of a very high quality.
Baby food brands include; Ella’s Kitchen, Heinz, Cow & Gate and Hipp Organic. You will be able to buy food in both pouches and jars. You will also be able to find baby rice, porridge, cereals, crackers, fruit and oat bars, yogurts and corn based organic snacks.
Most restaurants will be able to prepare a baby bowl for your child which generally consists of mashed potato, vegetables and gravy. Most restaurants will also offer a kids menu or half portions for older toddlers. The majority of restaurants offer high chairs and many offer baby changing facilities also.
Many of the famous Dublin Pubs will serve food but remember that children are not allowed by law in pubs and bars after 9pm. Most department stores will have baby changing facilities and parent rooms where you can feed your baby. If you are sightseeing and exploring the city centre you can use the changing facilities in Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre (at the end of Grafton Street) or Arnotts (on Henry Street). Many hotels and museums will also have changing facilities so you should not experience any problems.
