There is a good bus service within the city and you will also find a hop on hop off bus service which is handy when travelling with children as it takes you to all the main attractions.
The County is well connected by buses and you can also take a train from Cork City Centre to Fota and Cobh
There are also buses which will take you to most towns and villages in the county. However, renting a car is by far the best way to see all the county has to offer and will allow you to explore the areas around Cork City and West Cork which is filled with little fishing villages, beaches, gourmet restaurants and the famous Mizen Head Lighthouse.
