County Clare By Air
Shannon and Dublin Airports are the two main hubs for international flights in and out of Ireland. Shannon lies in County Clare, making the county the perfect start for a vacation in Ireland. Shannon International Airport is only 20 minutes drive from Ennis town. The airport, which positions itself as the gateway to the west of Ireland, continues to serve the majority of its business on transatlantic routes.
By Train
Ennis can be reached by rail from Belfast, Dublin, Cork and Limerick. See Irish Rail website. Newer trains in Ireland are stroller accessible and have changing facilities on board. Bring a changing mat however as the changing tables are metal and might be cold on your child’s skin. Trains generally serve light lunches, snacks and drinks on board.
By Bus
Regular buses serve Ennis from Shannon Airport, Galway, Limerick, Cork and Dublin. See: www.buseireann.ie or www.citylink.ie. You will probably need to fold up your stroller and stow it under the bus if you choose this option.
