Driving to Berlin
Berlin is one of Germany’s largest cities and is well connected to other major cities in Germany and Europe by rail and bus. Germany also has an excellent road network and the autobahn (motorway) has many baby and toddler friendly rest stops with play areas, high chairs and baby changing rooms.
Flying to Berlin
If you are flying to Berlin, you will arrive into one of its two major airports, Schonefeld (20 km Southeast of the City) or Tegal (8 km Northwest of the City). Schonefeld is connected to the city centre by subway, you can access the U-Bahn station through a covered walkway outside of the arrivals area. Trains depart every 20-30 minutes. There are also taxis (€40 to the centre approx.) and car rental facilities in the arrivals area. Tegel is connected by bus and express bus to the city centre and there are also taxis (€20 to the centre approx.) and car rental facilities in the arrivals area.
