Florida, also known as ‘the sunshine state’ and is one of the UK and Ireland’s most popular long-haul family holiday destinations and it is easy to see why. Orlando is famed for its theme parks, including Walt Disney World and Seaworld. There are also a number or beach resorts dotted along the coast line and the everglades in the south with its wildlife and stunning scenery make it a diverse and intriguing holiday destination. Miami is known for its Latin flavour and influential arts scene, as well as its nightlife, especially in upscale South Beach.
You will be able to buy everything you need for your baby or toddler in Florida as most of its tourism industry is geared towards families. However, you won’t be able to get the same formula as in the UK and Ireland and it is always safer to bring the brand you use with you.
There are loads of hotels and restaurants which cater well to parents travelling with babies and toddlers. Many of the larger hotels rent strollers and other baby equipment to guests and the quality of service is generally excellent. You may not be able to get the same baby food and formula as at home but most supermarkets and pharmacies will sell something similar.
