The Algarve

Family Holiday in The Algarve with Babies, Toddlers and Kids Under 4

With its warm sunny climate, sandy beaches and turquoise water, the Algarve is an ideal place to take babies and toddlers. It is very family friendly and you will be able to buy all your baby and toddler essentials in the supermarkets and hypermarkets throughout the region.

Direct flights to Faro in the Algarve take less than 3 hours from the UK and Ireland making it very accessible with babies and toddlers. If you do not want a long bus journey on arrival you might opt for a resort near to Faro. The transfer time for Albufeira is 35 minutes, for Lagos its 1 hour and 10 minutes and for Sagres its 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The most popular resorts include Vilamoura, Albufeira, Portimao and Lagos although Faro city is also worth a visit. Algarve Airport Transfers, Polotur and Algarve 365 specialise in providing transfers from Faro airport to your resort with a range of baby and toddler seats to suit all sizes (see ‘Getting Around’).
