County Kerry is located in the West of Ireland and is one of the most beautiful places you will ever visit. It offers fantastic mountain and coastal scenery and the beaches are panoramic and perfect for family days out. There are plenty of toddler and child freindly activities in the County also from petting zoos to soft play areas and of course the long sandy beaches and great outdoors!
The best way to see the county is by car and both Killarney town, Kenmare, Caherciveen and Sneem and the coastal town of Dingle are great bases for families. These areas have plenty of shops selling everything you will need for babies and younger children along with baby and toddler friendly restaurants and hotels.
There are also some fantastic accommodation options outside these towns and you will never be too far from a supermarket wherever you decide to stay. There are also a lot of campsites in the county set in stunning locations and if you’re feeling brave you could take a toddler camping! Another great option is to rent self-catering accommodation. some hotels offer this but you could also find some great holiday homes on sites such as Airbnb.
